- Jay's representation to Grenville concerning condemnation and confiscation of American vessels and impressment of seamen. Presents suggestions for compensation to Americans whose ships have been captured and condemned by British officers. Also suggests that Americans now impressed in British service be immediately released and orders to end this practice be issued to His Majesty's officers. Two copies, one in Jay's hand.
