- Summary
- Acknowledges letters of 13 and 16 March. Transmits letters from Congress to French King, papers relating to Francis Cazeau's claims and copies of an Act of Congress of 2 June respecting de la Lande and Fynje and of the 3rd June forming Kentucky into an independent state. Will attend Poughkeepsie convention. If New Hampshire and Virginia ratify, as it seems probable, North Carolina and even New York will presumably follow their example, even though majority who will attend New York convention are anti-federalist.
