- Summary
- He will doubtless have heard of commotions in New England. The situation is caused by a rage for paper money and by a seemingly faulty constitution of government. The Governor of New Hampshire has things under control, and Massachusetts has remained quiet. Will write soon concerning Britain's objections to evacuating the posts. As yet does not know whether Barclay has met with success in his negotiations.
