- Summary
- Is glad to hear of the good health of Maria's daughter. Believes Sally's wrist will prove to be a minor complaint. Has not had a letter from her since he left Albany, and although she is probably occupied with her lessons, that is not a good excuse for not writing. Speaks of William's affection for Maria, but believes it prudent to not yet speak of his plans. Nancy's eyes are still painful. Peter Jay went to New York with Susan. According to something Maria sent him, John Jay owes taxes on land in Mexico, Oneida County. She should pay it out of the money allotted for Sally and he return her money when Mr. Isaacs, his neighbor and a state assemblyman, comes to Albany.
