- Summary
- Wonders if Peter Jay is there in Albany with her and in good health. Hints at a personal or business matter that she should consult with Peter on; John Jay is too far distant to enter into the necessary details and it is safer not to write about them in a letter. Is pleased with Maria's resignation and acceptance of her situation. Asks her or Nancy to write to Mr. and Mrs. Munro, who have not heard from Albany since they wrote in June. If she, after consulting with Peter, believes a visit will help, John Jay will come up to Albany as well. Concerned about the return of Ann's weak eyes; a trip to Ballston Spa might relieve her. Asks whether dividends on the Great Western Turnpike have been paid.
