- Summary
- Was in New York on business and came down with severe rheumatism; is much recovered now. Drs. Tillary and Charlton consulted about Nancy's (eye) condition and prescribed medication; she is now worse, not improved. John Jay is very anxious about her health. Her spirits are good and she has not lost weight recently. Believes Dr. Stringer's bitters are the only things that have worked. Peter remains much the same. If Peter Munro is still in Albany, send his regards. Susan remains with them at Bedford, very usefully. Please write about her own health as her father John Jay is concerned. P.S. to Mr. Banyer. Wants to know how to make Dr. Stringer's bitters for Nancy. Gives advice on posture, cheerfulness and room temperature in order to preserve good health.
