- Summary
- The floor of the porch in front of the Government House requires extensive repairs. The Democrats have begun to campaign in Westchester, and accuse John Jay of removing the seat of government to Albany, of creating the office of Comptroller, and of abolishing all Justices courts in New York, thereby preventing the poor from recovering their debts. Feels the election for Governor will turn out well but apprehends defeat in the choice of Representatives.
