- Summary
- Personal business news. General Delavan refuses to give a judgment to secure the bond as John Jay proposed. Partly through speculations and partly through the dishonesty of an agent, William Morris has become a ruined man. James Morris promises to write his brother concerning his bond to John Jay and the necessity to foreclose. Mr. Foote, a former member of the Legislature and a "warm friend" to John Jay, has written about a road to be cut through the latter's land in Whitesborough. Peter will reply at John Jay's direction.
