- Summary
- Personal business news. The result of the election in the town of Westchester has not disappointed "our friends here." The Federalists have a majority of 2, compared with the majority of 10 against them in the last election for governor. Westchester is becoming a manufacturing town and the manufacturers are under Democratic direction. The results from the county are not yet known, but it is certain that Tompkins is elected. Believes the Clintonian party no longer exists; the Federal party remains, but with few additions.
