Family and personal business news. There is a strip of land between John Jay's and Lynch's lots which is a matter of contention. Peter has proposed an equal division of the land and after some delay young Lynch has promised to consult his father on the matter. Stagg, who filled up the lots, has employed Mr. Bogardus to try to obtain payment under his contract. Peter has informed them that John Jay is willing to submit the matter to one or two men to obtain a decision.
