Summary
Family and personal business news. In the convention there is decidedly a Jacobinical party which has decided in favor of universal suffrage. An effort was made to replace the old Council of Appointment by another equally objectionable but the plan failed. The present division is over the power of appointing county officers. It is questionable whether adjournment will come before next month. Asks on behalf of Mr. Grant's friends what salary the Presbyterian minister at Bedford receives.
