Summary
The children are healthy, as well as Clarinda and the child. Mrs. Low and Mrs. Hamilton (servants) came yesterday. Asked if Mrs. Low could handle the great deal of entertaining they do when Mr. Jay is home; she believed that Mrs. Hamilton was better able to handle the fatigue. Election news; will send newspaper showing him how the votes stand as of now. Judge Hobart is convinced of John Jay's success, even if the Otsego votes are lost. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence have arrived. Philip R. Livingston would like to take the John Jay's house in New York if they move into the Government House.
