- Summary
- The children continue well; William is playful as a kitten. Peter is just returned from Rye by the river and left the family in good health. Shetfield Clarkson married Miss Van Horne and went to the Van Cortlandt's place for a week. Last week went to a ball of Mrs. Knox's; the ladies from Boston were much admired. Miss Brick and Miss Storer were there. Remember her to the Judge and Mrs. Cushing. When she thinks of five or six weeks more of separation from John Jay, her spirits sink. "I acknowledge that it is weakness in me to find any thing insupportable that is unavoidable but you know we (females) are but weaker vessels."
