- Summary
- Acknowledges receipt of 10 December. Although she is glad that "the greatest gratification you desire from the honor of your late appointment is its being an additional recommendation to my esteem," Sally needs no such public testimony of John Jay's merit. She has gone with her father and Kitty to Elizabethtown because she will have more frequent opportunities there of hearing from John Jay than at Parsippany. Kitty asks that Brockholst remind Major Clarkson of a feather he promised to send.
