Summary
Severe storms have caused Sarah to worry about John Jay's safety. Poplars blown to ground. Cherries blown from trees. All children well-have been fighting for honor of washing off their father's portrait near the fireplace. Two of Scattergood's relatives paid her a call. Glad to hear of progress of his ship.
