- As soon as the wind shifts and the packets are delivered, Livingston will set out on his return from L'Orient. Description of L'Orient -- a better seaport than Nantes. Lafayette arrived from Bordeaux and will be ready to sail in 3 weeks with good supply of clothing for the American troops. 12,000 men with a strong fleet will soon leave Brest for Rhode Island. Livingston will probably stay in Bordeaux for a while on his return to Spain. Document and typescript.
