Summary
John Jay's appointment as a delegate to Congress is to be continued until 30 days after the next meeting of the Legislature. Mr. Allen asserts that the members of Congress except those from New York think that the three disaffected counties ought to be made a separate state. Unless Congress redeems the counterfeit bills of credit, the state and county treasuries will be ruined. The credit of all continental currency suffers greatly from the counterfeiting. A Canadian expedition is not favored in this state.
