Summary
Arrived back in Elizabeth from Philadelphia, saw Peter Jay. Jokes about John Jay's appointment as secretary for foreign affairs. Susan left this morning for Princeton. She will go on to Lebanon Valley to learn military affairs from Colonel Clark, and then astronomy. He does not need any scaled fish, but asks for lobster 'in their British uniform'.
