- Summary
- Welcomes Jay home, congratulates him upon election as Governor. Informs him of a conference schedules between Iroquois tribes and state commissioners, which he feels Jay should attend. Claims of Canadian Indians to New York lands will probably prove unfounded-they will have to check colonial records and Colden's History of the Iroquois on this matter. Postscript dated 17 June indicates Schuyler injured in carriage accident but hopes to attend the Indian conference nevertheless.
