- Summary
- The affair of Mr. Grant is terminated; Mr. Van Horne will pay Sarah Livingston Jay the rest of the money due. Has the deed from Jagger's farm. When Mr. DeLancey returns from seeing Mr. Williamson in Jersey, will give John Jay a note for the amount his brother owes. Money to be dispensed in the names of Frederick and James Van Cortlandt. Sometimes he (Peter Munro) and Sarah Livingston Jay don't agree on action to be taken; she gave money to Judge Symms for a mortgage which was not recorded. Has not yet settled with Colonel Post. Death of Holly's mare. Has worked extremely hard this summer. Will take to the Westchester circuit 13 nisi prius records. Do not think him extravagant because he sent Peter Jay a large order of books.
