- Summary
- Is pleased with living in New London and attends school regularly. Wishes to hear news of his mother and sister; grieves because the distance which separates them prevents his receipt of his father's frequent and kind advice. Though they be ignorant, the heads of a Boston town meeting influence all public measures. Never thinks of the means necessary for the peace of the Colonies without pain. There must be an abridgement of English liberties. [Signature missing. Note preceding letter: "Said to be from Captain Nathan Hale. Hanged as a spy AL"]
