- Received Carmichael's letter of the 25th and is grateful for the intelligence it contains. Also got his letter of 18th, but the one of the 23rd has not arrived. He has been completely occupied in writing letters to America. Explains why he did not enclose his note to Floridablanca telling him he would be in Aranjuez on Wednesday to Carmichael. Urges Carmichael to come to Madrid.
