- Summary
- Has received one letter dated April 1781. Please write him, if only three lines a month, for he needs information concerning America and the state of his family, whom he understands have been robbed. New York now suffers from the greed of her land jobbers-perhaps the [Vermont claims] may be given up, if Congress will guarantee New York her western expanse to Niagara. Sorry to hear Schuyler is out of Congress-such a man's talents should not be wasted on mills and farms in such a critical time.
