- Summary
- Parliament has just passed an act for exchanging American prisoners. Almost 1100 in England and Irish jails. This seems to give up their pretension of our being rebellious subjects and an acknowledgment of our independence. Hopes all money affairs are over. England seems to have given up the idea of a separate treaty and Benjamin Franklin thinks they will enter into a general treaty.
