Summary
Copy is in hand of John Jay. They have drawn upon him for 100,000 pounds shortly after his departure, but to allow him time they have made the bills payable 6 months after sight. They had to drawn upon him again for 25,000 dollars. The depreciation of the currency has caused the need for these steps to avoid a severe crisis, but the late steps to relieve the situation have resulted in a better financial situation. Take every possible step to obtain funds to honor the bills.
