Summary
Jay thanked Floridablanca for his intention to give further aid to America. He had requested the present conference to be able to give Congress some idea of the amount of aid. Floridablanca replied that Cabarrus was devising means for enabling Floridablanca to furnish supplies. Jay stated that the intended loan would for various reasons be impracticable. Floridablanca replied that they must wait for the results of the endeavors of Cabarrus. Floridablanca said that the House of Gardoqui at Bilboa would pay the holders of the bills payable at Bilboa.
