- It appears the English do not wish "to be well with us." Can receive nothing but "certain hints" to his demands and insistences. No other minister can obtain answers to his memorials either. "The Ministry have been in a lethargy; but they must soon awake." Adams thinks a decided opinion will be reached, but it cannot be formed until the opening of the next budget.
