- Adams will return to America in March. Colonel Smith will return also, having received no orders to remain. Adams approves of the new plan of government. Hopes to hear of its being adopted by all the States. Rumor of a quadruple alliance shock stock market. America has nothing to fear except a want of union and government. No answer from the ministry to any letters or memorials, none expected.
