- John Jay forwards a copy of a letter dated 17 August 1780 from Messrs. Patrick Joyes & Sons. This letter states that they will not be able to defer any longer than Monday letters concerning John Jay's acceptance of the sundry Congress bills. Autograph letter (written in the third person), with copy of the Joyez letter, and head note and summary in Spanish.
