- Summary
- Mr. Harrison informs Jay that it was not possible to obtain better terms for the clothing purchased at Cadiz. Harrison intends to ship no more by the vessels now at that port than the amount of his bill. Jay has asked Harrison not to draw any more bills with Jay's consent because it may be more convenient to have payment made at Cadiz and because Floridablanca may wish to reserve some articles in the lots to be purchased. Thanks Floridablanca for his friendly conduct on this occasion. Encloses 8 February contract for sale of prize clothing at Cadiz.
