- Summary
- Acknowledges receipt of 25 November. Nancy thanks Peter for his attention to her "miscellanies." John Jay agrees with Peter and Mr. Munro about the bill in chancery. He has the deed of partition between the grantees of Jacobus Van Cortlandt (Frederick Van Cortlandt, Abraham DePeyster and his wife Margaret, John Chambers and Ann his wife, Peter Jay and Mary his wife), as well as Purdy's map. The papers concerning it are probably recorded in the office of the town or county clerk. It is possible that either Frederick DePeyster has the original field book as well as papers about his grandmother's lands in Bedford or that they are in the possession of Dr. Charlton. Peter should not forget to give Mr. Munro an answer about the Broad Street lot.
