- Summary
- Received the "box of medicine" safely. Very glad, as he had exhausted the previous supply. Colonel Hay will assist James Jay in setting up a small laboratory. Major Beauman will come back to that point in a few days. Has told General Howe that he has approved James using as much gunpowder as can be found to perform experiments in gunnery. Congratulations on John JayÆs safe arrival in Spain.
