Summary
Sir James communicated Arnold's message to the governor, who promised to do all he could concerning the matter, and who said that he would write Arnold concerning it. The New York Legislature elected General Schuyler as delegate to Congress, but Schuyler turned it down, so McDougall was elected in his place. All the other delegates were returned.
