- Summary
- Drafts of two letters to Franklin of this date. The first leaf bears a preliminary draft of a note of introduction for the bearer, the Baron Giusti, charge d' affaires for the Emperor and the Grand Duke of Tuscany, who is returning to Vienna and will deliver the letter to Franklin on his journey; with a draft of a second letter of the same date containing war news and paying tribute to Montmorin, who greatly aided Jay in his monetary difficulties. The second leaf contains a more polished draft of the introduction for Giusti.
