- Summary
- Alludes to quarrel between friends. Would send many letters to Congress but does not believe can get them back to American safely, without being inspected. Has not heard anything of any value from the Committee. Would greatly value one good correspondent with a code to inform him on political situation. Receives more information about America and Lovell's affair from the French ambassador than from all the members of Congress put together.
