- Thanks Jay for his consolation. Ridley and Kitty are still at the farm, and Kitty is well. Essex is much like Peter in disposition. Ridley will not see Jay until he has more money. Mr. Rucker's retreat caused some difficulties "by putting it out of the power of my friend Mr. Morris to do for me at present what he intended -- the storm with him I hope is blown over --"
