- Summary
- The bills have been protested. Debt to Cabarrus has recently been diminished. Cabarrus has said he would advance the rest necessary to pay our bills if France would become responsible for them. After Floridablanca said Cabarrus could accept our bills to $50,000, C. insisted that the rents of the post office should be charged with the repayment at rate of 200,000 reals vellon per month. Floridablanca refused to comply with this and the bills were protested.
