- Summary
- Advice on how to overcome his "indifference." Livingston ought to engage in "amusement and exercise." Jay did not give notice to the ridiculous story of Livingston's having given intelligence to Governor Tryon. Such a report has been circulating concerning Mr. Duane. Jay heard that he was implicated, but he could find no such report. Although Jay thinks that Duane is innocent, he seems to be the person who has implicated Jay. It is uncertain whether the government will call the Assembly.
