Summary
Happy that Sally has been in better health. Hopes to have a house soon so Sally can come to Philadelphia. Attention should be paid to the health and constitution of Jay's son. Sorry to hear that Kitty's mother is not well. The city is very gay but Jay is so busy and without Sally does not have time nor inclination to enjoy its pleasures. Hears that Kitty's father's house has been burned. Jay has suffered such losses and has never let it disturb his sleep. We must persevere in doing what is right in our own eyes and be resigned to the dictates of divine Providence.
