Summary
The doctor's medicine is taking effect and part of the tumor has come out. The part that remains should come out in a few days; the symptoms are favorable. Was upset about the indisposition she wrote him about, but was glad she had been candid and did not hide the truth from him. The family in New York is well except Peggy (Ann Margaret Barclay Jay) who has a swollen face.
