News of material being gathered for construction at Bedford. The heavy rains have caused considerable damage and floods. Bedford political news - the democrats may gain some strength, but the Federalist ranks will grow much larger. Lawsuits are threatened by John Guion concerning fencing of the Rye property. Peter Jay asked Peter Augustus to tell his father of this.
