- Summary
- Letters from King and Gore show their pleasure at the candor and good faith of the British government. The present Congress shows a disposition towards peace throughout the country. Remarks that Patriots born in British dominions are very distinguishable among those who oppose American government, and seen to like it" as little as they did their own." Wishes to correct the remark made while in London that the conduct and conversation of the British Consul in New York appeared conciliatory. Now feels this was a mistaken impression.
