- Summary
- The slow procedure of the Admiralty courts has prevented the Commissioners in London from doing much business. It is thought that after April 10, when the term for the reception of complaints will end, all causes may be entertained by the Commissioners whether decided on by the Lords or not. They will probably be examined in the summer, the awards will be made after October 10, and the amounts will be paid in January or February. Negligence in individual cases will occasion loss and dissatisfaction. The envoys are expected from Paris after having spent five unsuccessful months waiting to be heard.
