- Thanks him for conveying the information concerning the non-juring Episcopal bishops of Scotland to the American General Convention. He is glad to learn Manning's opinion that slavery will be abolished, but hopes that this may be done with greater certainty by express statute. Encloses an argument in favor of those who protect runaway slaves from their masters, based on a biblical text.
