Summary
He sends his compliments to Jay and asks for news of Mrs. Jay and their
daughter. He would have gone immediately to Jay had he spent the night at Passy. Jay
will render him justice if he does not doubt d'Estaing's tender attachment and sincere
interest in everything which concerns Jay.
