- Summary
- Transmits copy of a letter, John Jay to Bishop Moore, 8 February 1810. This tells of Mr. Feltch's indiscreet behavior and disregard for truth while a reader at the above church. John Jay's own esteem for him was impaired during the investigation into the adverse reports. Transmits a copy of the subsequent resolutions of the vestry on this subject, which do not meet with John Jay's approval. Retracts his own recommendation of Mr. Feltch for ordination and asks that this information be communicated to the Committee.
