Summary
Since placing his name on the subscription list for six copies of his dictionary, it has occurred to his father that advance payment might be convenient. Webster is therefore at liberty to draw on Peter A. Jay in New York for $120, but it would give John Jay more pleasure were he to have the opportunity of paying the sum in person.
