Summary
Mrs. Jay's health varies, and it is uncertain when they will sail for America. Their friends in England increase in number. In yesterday's London Star was an" admirable leader" about Sumner; the paper is a liberal one and friendly to the United States, but it expresses great indignation of Sumner's vile assailant. Is afraid the nomination of a comparatively decent man by the Democrats will be injurious to the Republican nominee, whoever he might be.
