Summary
Encloses materials concerning the butchers who were convicted of assault and battery, and sentenced to imprisonment. He strongly advises that their sentences not be reduced to a fine, since fines mean nothing to these men, one of whom has let his mother live in the alms house rather than support her. Democrats make these matters a means to attack him, and threaten to force Jay to dismiss him as Mayor. He hopes that his acts will not cause Jay embarrassment.
