- Summary
- Confirms that the Attorney General was in custody at the suit of Brockholst Livingston; since his release he has gone to Delaware. An execution was issued against Thomas Cooper for the same debt, but he was not taken. The Sheriff has left town, fearing the fever; he is "in plain English a poor dastardly Moneymaking Devil, unfit to hold the Office for this City." The number of sick in the city is between 800 and 1,000, and in many instances the patients do not survive more than two days. As many as 41 die every day. Accounts of those who are dead or ill.
